A was alone when he met Z
He didn’t know what he wanted to B
His future he didn’t C.
A was lost and confused,
Unable to find words to fuse,
He couldn’t find any letters
He felt like there was nothing behind him,
Like there were no tethers.
Then one day he and Z ended up talking
Z thought A was a Q T
A thought Z turned coy into cozy
And it was the love story beyond the letters on a page.
Z and A were star crossed.
Then one day Z began to wonder Y
Because A-Z is just not E-Z
Even though Z and E would most commonly result in Zero
It would be more than A.
A was still alone even after he was with her
A felt like Z was a language away
Sometimes he thought that Z was mail
Because his precious letter was always closed.
The thing about A is that it makes men, mean.
A got angry.
So A and Z fought,
They felt like the “S”es in Smiles with a mile in between them
M was caught in the middle of it all
She was in the moment twice,
And even though she wasn’t in It,
she knew it was still not nice.
Sometimes, A and Z’s bickering made her more and more like
the explosive N
Stuck in the middle of TNT.
Then one day Z had been taken too far.
She told A, “U and I aren’t close enough.”
Z was broken and bent in two places.
No other letter ever came after her.
A was distraught.
She had been his Z,
but now she was just another X.
